The International Union for Health Promotion and Education (IUHPE) is a global professional, non-governmental organization dedicated to health promotion around the world for more than 65 years. The IUHPE operates a unique worldwide, independent, global, professional network of people and institutions committed to improving the health and wellbeing of the people through education, community action and the development of healthy public policy. 

 

The Global Working Group on Salutogenesis of the International Union for Health Promotion and Education (IUHPE) was established in 2007 to advance and promote the science of Salutogenesis within health promotion. It is an international, interdisciplinary group of researchers representing different world regions and research areas of Salutogenesis.

 

The Society for Theory and Research on Salutogenesis (STARS) aims to advance and promote the science of Salutogenesis. It provides a transdisciplinary platform for scientific exchange between researchers in the field of Salutogenesis within and beyond health promotion. The Global Working Group on Salutogenesis founded STARS in 2017 and is in charge of continuously advancing the STARS website and activities.
